What you carry home

Discovery is where the path begins. You leave with practices that are yours to keep, and the first lines of a map of your own inner ground.

  • Yoga nidrā, the practice of aware rest, to continue on your own
  • How to enter, rest in and return from a journey under the light, with your guide
  • Foundations of the map the path is drawn from
  • Your first yantra, to contemplate at home
  • A simple daily practice for the weeks after
  • The first lines of your personal map, with no score attached

A few days in residence, six months in all

  1. Before

A conversation with your guide, a private safety screening, and simple practices of rest to begin at home.

  2. In residence

The retreat itself, held throughout by your guide.

  3. After

Your guide checks in within two days, then at one week, one month, three months and six months, and helps you carry the practice into daily life.

A day on retreat

  1. Painting: a small flower of rose and gold light opening in a dark violet field

    Morning

    Practice, gentle movement and breakfast.

  2. Painting: a great lotus of pearl and rose light fully open

    Late morning

Time under the light, held by your guide.

  3. Painting: petals and gold rings spiralling inward

    Afternoon

Rest, yantra contemplation, teaching or time outdoors.

  4. Painting: one point of light inside a thin ring, in a vast dark stillness

    Evening

    Yoga nidrā, and silence.

An outline. Your guide sets the rhythm of each retreat.

Painting: a map of an inner landscape, constellations of small gold points joined by hairline arcs around one brighter point of light

Held by a guide, always

Discovery journeys are led by Neha, who shapes how every Shripur session is held. Your guide is with you for every minute under the light, and the light never runs without one.

Is Discovery right for you?

It may be, if

You feel drawn to go deeper inward, with or without prior practice

You can give the retreat your full attention

You are willing to begin with an honest conversation about your health

It is not, if

You, or a parent, sibling or child, have epilepsy, seizures or sensitivity to flickering light

Anything on our safety and suitability list applies to you, or you are under 18

You are looking for care for a medical or psychological condition. Please speak with your doctor.

Shripur is not suitable if you are under 18 or pregnant. It is not suitable if you have epilepsy, seizures or sensitivity to flickering light, or if a parent, sibling or child does. It is not suitable with bipolar disorder or a history of psychosis, in you or in a parent, sibling or child. It is also not suitable with a dissociative condition, a recent trauma, a recent head injury, a pacemaker or other implanted device, or medication that acts on the brain (other than antidepressants), after recent alcohol or recreational drugs, or after less than four hours of sleep in the last day. If you are unsure about any of these, tell your guide: unsure counts as yes. Safety and suitability, in full.

Questions

When does Discovery open?

In 2027. Dates and details go first to the early list.

Do I need meditation experience?

No. The first doorway is yoga nidrā, a practice of guided rest that asks for no prior experience. Your guide meets you where you are.

What does the light feel like?

Soft light fills the darkness behind your closed eyes. Many people see colour, some see shifting geometry, and others simply rest. As you settle, the light steps back.

What if I do not experience much?

That happens, and it is normal. People respond to light differently, and some respond very little. The practices, the stillness and your guide's care are the heart of Discovery, more than any single experience.

Can I stop at any time?

Yes, always. A stop control stays within your reach, and your guide is with you throughout and can end the session at any moment.

Is this medical care?

No. Shripur is a contemplative practice. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and it is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.

What comes after Discovery?

Six months of follow-up with your guide, and a practice that is yours to keep.

Join the early list for Discovery

Joining the early list commits you to nothing. When Discovery opens, your guide will write to you first, to talk it through and to make sure Discovery is right for you.

We never ask about your health here. Safety screening happens privately, with your guide.
